Journeyman level position with limited supervision; typical assignments include, but are not limited to, the soliciting, negotiating, awarding and administering procurements for design/build of complex engineered equipment and fabricated goods.

Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Engineering preferred, or equivalent work experience; CPM certificate a plus.

5+ years experience in procurement, Associates Degree with 9 years experience  or 13 years experience if no degree; at least 2 years of Federal government-related procurement experience; skilled in computer usage and procurement systems; knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations and Department of Energy Acquisition Regulations; familiarity with best value purchasing and Federal Travel Regulations; experience with Federal government socioeconomic programs (i.e. 8A, Hubzone); prior procurement experience with a DOE M&O Contractor preferred.

Work Hours:
A 40 hour work week is scheduled.  SRNS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s ( 9 hours / day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B.  Work week normally excludes SRNS holidays.  Each work day has a 30-minute non-paid lunch.   

Area Security Access:    
Having the ability to obtain a security clearance is required.


2 Years of Federal Government experience.

Computer and procurement system skills.

Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations.

Best Value purchasing experience.

Federal Travel Regulation experience.

Socioeconomic programs experience.

Having the ability to obtain a security clearance is required.

Prior procurement experience with a DOE M&O Contractor preferred.

CPM certificate a plus.
