Duties/Responsibilites

Procurement of goods and services for the SRS Operating, Project and Support Divisions to support Site missions. 

Assist in the development of technical and quality requirements necessary for installation of parts and materials into safety and safety-related systems, structures and components.  

Interpretation of a multitude of requirements ranging from federal regulations to site wide procedures and policies to provide effective guidance and service in the procurement process. 

Provide support at the field level for the procurement  of goods and / or services for the area or division assigned. 

Act as a liaison between the field and the procurement organization. Execute and manage procurement life cycle: Planning, scheduling, product research, solicit quotes, acquisition of material and services, expediting and delivery of purchase orders. 

Negotiate prices and delivery times with potential suppliers to ensure the best value for goods and services needed for site customers utilizing the best method of acquisition; micro-purchase order; P-Card; basic purchase order with strategic agreements,  SAP (Simplified Acquisition Procedures) and site availability. 

Prepare solicitation documents and process request for quotations. 

Evaluate quotations to verify compliance with requirements of the solicitation and perform price analysis to ensure pricing is fair and reasonable. 

Review requisitions and related documents for completeness and accuracy based on established procedures and technical knowledge to establish the best path forward. 

The ability to communicate adequately on a one-on-one basis and in a group setting to present information and express ideas to others is needed, along with a strong interpersonal skills which aid to bolter customer interaction. 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree;
OR 
Associate’s Degree and with two years of procurement or related experience; 
OR
High School diploma and four years or procurement or related experience.

Review requisitions and related documents for goods and services. Related documents include, blanket orders, strategic agreements, basic ordering  agreements and stores request. 

Preparation and development of requisitions.

Prepare solicitation documents, and process request for quotations. 

Evaluate quotations and perform price analysis to insure pricing is fair and reasonable.

Execute order placement, issue purchase order.   

Candidate must complete the Field Procurement Engineering training curriculum as part of the SRS qualification process.

Candidate must have strong problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills as well as good oral and written communication skills.

Candidate must have the ability to perform walk downs and interface with personnel and systems in the field.

Must possess good knowledge of and have skill in computer software fundamentals.

Computer Experience (proficiency) in basic software applications to include:

    a. Excel Software                
    b. Microsoft Word Software
